Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule my first appointment?
You can request a consultation by calling either of the numbers below or filling out the contact info form. I will provide a free brief phone consultation (10-15 min) to determine if we are a good ”fit”. The initial evaluation is 90 minutes and follow-up sessions are anywhere from 30-45 minutes depending on your needs.

For ongoing care, I am happy to provide you with the support that you need, seeing you anywhere from weekly to every 3 months depending on your condition. I would like to see you 4-6 weeks after a medication change to evaluate your progress. If you are stable and in maintenance mode, I would like to see you every 3 months; this is the standard of care and required regardless of the stability of your condition.

I am flexible regarding location, in person or virtual, and happy to do what is most convenient for you.

At the end of the initial 90 minute consultation you will be presented with a treatment plan including a choice of medication if indicated and/or the therapy modality that best suits your needs.

I will stay in close touch with your providers, including therapists, primary care doctors, and OB/GYNs to provide you with the best comprehensive care, and will confer regularly regarding any changes to your care or to convey important information.

I am accessible by phone or email to schedule appointments, relay important information, and for all emergency needs. I simply ask that you not contact me for refills after hours or on the weekends.

I have a 2 full business day cancellation policy. If you cancel within that window, I will be happy to try to find another available time to meet with you that same week depending on my schedule. If we cannot find a mutually agreeable time, then you will be held responsible for payment of the missed appointment. This applies to all consultations, evaluations, and follow-up appointments.
